GetFit is an adult fitness program which incorporates a scientific approach to fitness in an atmosphere which fosters enjoyment of activity. Exercise recommendations based on individual fitness test results are formulated by an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Exercise Specialist and implemented in professionally supervised exercise classes. Emphasis is on cardiovascular conditioning in a program designed to also enhance muscular fitness, flexibility and improve body composition.
Fitness Assessments are available for individuals interested in obtaining an accurate view of their current fitness status and professional assistance in developing or adjusting a personal exercise program based on that information.
Body Fat Assessments give a good estimation of body composition, expressed as percent body fat, to assist in setting goals for health and fitness programs. Body composition is a better expression of fitness than body weight alone.
Fitness Consultations are conducted with a qualified Exercise Specialist to assist in the initiation or improvement of a fitness program. Subject matter is based on the individual's interests and goals and may include the components of a good fitness program, motivation exercise selection, form, and technique, and resources for additional information.
Workshops, Presentations, and Staff In-Services can be provided by our staff of health and fitness professionals. A wide variety of topics related to health and fitness can be tailored to your group or staff. Call for an appointment to discuss your needs and interests.
