Leonardo DiCaprio, who portrayed the reclusive and OCD-plagued Howard Hughes in The Aviator, also contends with OCD. To play Hughes, DiCaprio got back in touch with his mild case of OCD, which he says he has had under control since childhood. Unfortunately, having to channel the inner Hughes triggered compulsive behavior during filming. “Sometimes, you know, it would take me awhile to get to set. And I would have to be doing things in my trailer. And it literally drove me nuts a lot of the time. It lasted for a couple months after filming and still is—there’s trails of it here and there,” he told Katie Couric back in 2004.
