5. Delusional Disorder

Myth: People with Delusional Disorder might think that they've been abducted by aliens.

Delusional Disorder does cause some very irrational thoughts. However, people with it don't have delusions about events that literally cannot happen, such as a dead person coming back to life or ghosts talking to them. Those hallucinations are symptoms of other mental illnesses. People with Delusional Disorder had NON-bizarre delusions. They might be convinced that their partner is cheating or that their acquaintance is madly in love with them. Or, they might think that someone is gossiping about them, when no one actually is.
