4. Get a Massage

It’s been proven to help! A professional massage relaxes your body – and your mind. A 2010 study out of  I-Shou University in Taiwan showed that massage therapy has “potentially significant effects” in relieving symptoms of depression. 

Another 2007 study conducted in Berlin, also indicated that a gentle massage is effective and safe for people dealing with depression. And part of the joy of a massage is the indulgence; you’re doing something purely for your own enjoyment. So give it a try—a little touch can sometimes do a world of good.
