Golf Outings and Youth Clinics

Each year, the NMU Golf Course is the site of a wide variety of golf outings, youth clinics and other special events. For a calendar of outings and clinics for the current season, click here.

Northern Michigan University students, student groups, departments, as well as alumni and community groups are welcome to contact the NMU Golf Course to discuss the possibility of holding your special event at the course.  We recommend that you reserve your date as early as possible in the calendar year.  Call 906-227-3111 or e-mail golf@nmu.edu.

Youth Clinics

The NMU Golf Course will hold its Beginning Golf Youth Clinic for ages 7 through 12. We will meet at the golf shop for four Tuesdays starting June 12 and ending July 3. We will meet at the NMU golf shop from 9:30 a.m. to noon. The cost is $65 per youth. This camp focuses on golf swing basics as well as safety, etiquette, and an introduction to the golf course. To register, fill out a camp form at the NMU golf shop before June 8. Download the registration form here. The class size is limited and will fill up quickly.
