Weather Delay and Rain Check Policy

Rain checks are issued for extreme inclement weather that includes, but is not limited to, storms and lightning. Rain checks are issued based on your position of play at the point of interruption.  Prior to receiving a rain check, guests must present their starter's receipt to the Pro Shop.

If 4 or less holes are completed	18-hole rain check will be issued
If 5 – 12 holes are completed	9-hole rain check will be issued.
If 13+ holes are completed	No rain check will be issued

Rain checks issued prior to September 1 must be used within the calendar year.  Rain checks issued after September 1 must be used before June 30 of the following year.

The NMU Golf Course is built on a sand depository and as a rule we can handle 1" of precipitation without affecting play. In the event that the course is deemed unplayable by our professional staff, rain checks will be issued.

Lightning Policy

NMU Golf Course sounds an air horn when lightning is detected.  When the alarm sounds, all golfers are to immediately exit off the course until the lightning is at a safe distance away.  The golf shop staff will issue an "all clear" notice when it is safe to resume play. Rain checks will only be issued for extended delays or for extreme weather. Golf course staff will assure the course is safe to allow players to resume play.

Refund Policy

Refunds/cancellations must be requested in accordance with our refund policy, which is as follows:

Punch passes:

• There are no refunds for punch passes after the course is open for the season.
• Punch pass credit may be used by multiple players and sold or transferred to others, but no refunds will be issued.

Season memberships:

(Refund amount may be lower based on rounds played to date actual cost)

Maximum refund:

Before the course opens	100%*
Opening day	90%*
May 1- May 31	75%*
June 1 - June 30	50%*
July 1 - July 31	25%*
*No refunds after July 31.

To request a refund/cancellation for a transaction you've already paid for, please contact call 906-227-3111 or e-mail golf@nmu.edu. Credits can be applied to next season's membership.

Donation Policy

The NMU Golf Course takes pride in assisting individuals, groups, and organizations in their respective fundraising efforts. Due to the large number of donation request we receive annually, all requests must be submitted through our online request form. While the NMU Golf Course cannot honor all requests, we do make an effort to assist fundraising efforts in our community. We are committed to serving the greater Marquette community.

USGA Rules
