For NMU alumni, friends and Wildcat fans, the NMU Bookstore in the  University Center sells NMU-imprinted men’s, women’s and children’s clothing. It also stocks books by local and national authors and NMU-themed gift items ranging from coffee mugs and ornaments to garden gnomes and stuffed animals. Those who love sports might appreciate tickets to upcoming Wildcat athletic events. Single game tickets for men’s and women’s basketball are $7 for adults and $5 for seniors and students. A family package that covers admission for two adults and up to three children is $25. Another option is a 10-voucher basketball pack for $50. Reserved single-game tickets for NMU hockey are $16 for adults, $14 for seniors and $8 for students. Family packs are $45.

A night at the theater would be a welcome gift for an arts and culture lover. Mainstage productions scheduled after the holidays at NMU’s Forest Roberts Theatre include Fallujah Feb. 20-23 and Legally Blonde the Musical April 17-20. Give a trip around the musical world with individual or family passes to the Northern Nights Performing Arts Series. NMU will welcome the Young Dubliners with Celtic rock and roll on January 26; Cimarron with Joropo music from the plains for Colombia on March 16; and Tiempo Libre with Afro-Cuban Latin jazz on April 18. To satisfy those who crave the visual arts and one-of-a-kind gifts, stop by the ArtWorks Store. Located near the DeVos Art Museum, it showcases and sells original items crafted by NMU students, faculty and alumni. The NMU Golf Course has great early bird specials for season-long memberships. With special rates for youth (through age 17), NMU students, young adults (18-24), individuals, couples, families and seniors. Learn about the rates and purchase memberships here.

NMU Golf Course is well known for its naturally northern location just off the beautiful shores of Lake Superior. The par 72 course  offers many amenities, including power and pull carts, club rentals, a golf shop and driving range.
