William and Margery Vandament Endowment

Established in 1997 by friends of William and Margery Vandament, 10th President and first lady of Northern Michigan Univeristy. Vandament Endowment funds will provide emergency loan funds and assist students who have completed at least one full year at NMU and will be spending a semester studying abroad.

2017 2018 - One half of available earnings will be designated to the student Flexible Aid Fund. $500 minimum for Study Abroad scholarship $750 minimum for Transfer Student scholarship.

Additional Requirements
Transfer students who will be attending NMU and have completed at least one year of study at another institution are eligible for a $750 scholarship. For the study abroad scholarship, students must have attendede NMU on a full-time basis during the fall or winter semester preceding their study abroad experience. In addition, if academic credit is awarded at the rate of one credit hour per week of foreign residence, the student will be considered full time.
