Krummrei King Scholarship

Established in 1989 by Reuben and Donna Krummrei and Joseph King in memory of Evelyn Krummrei to provide the opportunity for students to attend college from Watersmeet or Gogebic County in Michigan or Merrill, Wisconsin.

Amount: Tuition, Room and Board, Books and Fees
Number awarded: Varies
Renewable: Yes, up to four years
Class status: Preference to incoming freshman
GPA minimum: 2.5 (FR), 3.0 (SO, JR, SR)
Must be full-time student: Yes
Must demonstrate financial need: Not specified

Additional Requirements

  • Incoming freshman must possess a 2.50 recomputed GPA
  • Transfer freshman must possess a 2.50 GPA
  • Sophomore, Junior and Senior must have a 3.0 GPA

Preference will be given to students as follows:

  1. Students from Watersmeet, Michigan.
  2. Students from Merrill, Wisconsin.
  3. Students from Gogebic County, Michigan.

Selection Process
Qualified applications will be reviewed by the appropriate selection committee. Recipients will be notified by the Financial Aid Office.

Notifications to award recipients will begin May 2013 and continue through August 2013. You can view your financial aid information by visiting MyNMU.

Note: If you wish to be considered for need-based awards, you will need to file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with the Financial Aid Office.
