Barbara J. Patrick Scholarship

Established in 1991 by friends of Barbara J. Patrick in honor of her retirement and for her contributions to women's athletics at Northern Michigan University.  This annual scholarship will support participants in the women's athletic program or students in the athletic training program who have demonstrated leadership qualities.

Must demonstrate financial need: No

Additional Requirements
Preference will be given to junior or senior women athletes followed by sophomores and freshman.

If no women athletes receive an award in a given year, or if the award funds are not entirely used, the remainder of the available award funds may be awarded to students who are in the athletic training program.

Nominated By
Women's athletics coaches will nominate athletes.  NMU-employed athletic trainers will nominate student athletic training majors for the award.

Selection Process
Qualified applications will be reviewed by the appropriate selection committee. Recipients will be notified by the Financial Aid Office.

Note: If you wish to be considered for need-based awards, you will need to file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with the Financial Aid Office.
