Welcome to the NMU Parents and Family Fund!

From Central America to Africa to Asia Minor, Wildcats are traveling the globe to teach, learn and lead and the NMU Parents and Family Fund is helping them get there.

Travel is only one of the important experiences that parents and families help make possible.

The Fund provides critical support that expands personal and professional opportunities for students beyond what would be possible with tuition dollars alone.

It makes a world of difference.

In addition to student travel assistance to conferences and trainings, the Parents Fund supports intramural sports teams, campus tutoring program and many other programs that go beyond tuition dollars to play an important role in helping to keep students happy and active while preparing them for the world beyond graduation.

Each fall, we call NMU parents to share information about the Parents and Family Fund and ask for your support. If you see the call from us, we hope you’ll pick up to ask questions, learn more and support the fund. Or, go to www.nmu.edu/foundation/give now to make a gift. Parents, grandparents and other family members can get involved and support their Wildcat.

Get Involved!

The NMU Parents and Family Fund Committee is working to expand and engage students and their families from across the NMU region. If you are interested in getting involved, please contact us! We need your help to plan send-off barbeques in a variety of communities, to coordinate special events where NMU parents and NMU prominent alumni can meet and make connections, and to organize unique opportunities on campus to get to know professors, administrators and others who are a part of the campus family. Family Weekend 2009

Family Weekend is a fun and exciting time each year! We encourage all parents and families to join us for Family Weekend and get involved with the many activities that take place both on and off campus. For a schedule of this year’s activities and more information, click here. We do encourage families to make hotel reservations early as area rooms do fill quickly!
