Cliffs Natural Resources Industrial Maintenance Scholarship

This award was initially established in May 2000 to provide financial support to qualifying students pursuing an associate degree in Industrial Maintenance (Mining). In 2011, Cliffs Natural Resources recommitted to this scholarship.

2015 2016 - The number and amounts of the award will vary per year, dependent on the number of qualified applicants. The minimum award will be $500 and the maximum award will be $2,500 per student. No more than $10,000 will be awarded per academic year. The following illustrates possible award scenarios:4 awards @ $2,500/10 awards @ $1,000/20 awards @ $500
Yes. The scholarship will be automatically renewed (max of 2 years) if student maintains eligibility as specified in the criteria. Students do NOT need to reapply.

Prefer COUNTY OF 49855
Preference to graduates of Marquette County high schools, followed by graduates of other Upper Peninsula high schools.
Majors from any of the following departments (or areas)
Engineering Technology
Technology and Occupational Sciences
Industrial Maintenance Technology Electrical Technology (Industrial Electrical Concentration ) Formerly: Industrial Electrical Technology or Electromechanical Technology Electrical Technology - Electrical Power Technician Concentration
Additional Requirements
Must be enrolled in one of the following associate degree programs: Industrial Maintenance Technology or Electrical Technology (w/industrial electrical concentration) (Formerly Industrial Electrical Technology or Electromechinical Technology)
Additional Preferences:
Preference will be given to students who have completed high school- or college-level vocational coursework. GPA: Minimum high school or college GPA of 2.5.
