Teaching Assistants

We have Student Teaching Assistants in each of our UN 100 Freshman Seminar classes. If you're a dependable, highly-motivated student, you should consider a teaching assistant internship. You can help incoming freshman get the most out of their academic and extracurricular experience at NMU by assisting them with their transition to college life. More information

What Happens in
UN 100?

Students in ClassEach fall semester there are approximately 60  UN 100 seminars taking place in a variety of academic majors.  UN 100 is designed to give students the opportunity to experience all that NMU has to offer.  Check out what the Fall 2012 Blocks are up to!

Featured UN 100 Instructor

Professor SenkerCory Cole taught UN 100 fall 2012 and currently works with the First Year Programs office.  Aside from coordinating Teaching Assistants in FYE blocks, Cory works with incoming freshman to help them transition into college.  His most rewarding experience working with FYE is being a part of the progression that students make toward their goals.  In UN 100 he focuses on the individual students personality traits and how they affect interactions with peers and professionals.  Students in his class are given the opportunity to explore career opportunities and interview professionals in a field of interest to help decide what major is right for them.  Cory will teach an Undeclared Block this upcoming fall so Look for Cory at Wildcat Weekend and feel free to ask him questions; he is always willing to help!
