The Department of Geography seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin in August 2010. The Department is seeking an Environmental Geographer with the ability to effectively teach three, 4-credit courses per semester at the introductory and upper level. Courses will include, but are not necessarily limited to, Introduction to Environmental Science, Maps, Introduction to Geographic Research, Biogeography, and Environmental Policy and Regulation, or other courses that otherwise complement the Department's existing areas of emphasis. The successful applicant will also be able to demonstrate an active research agenda that is broadly connected to Great Lakes regional environmental concerns including issues related to water science, mining-related development, and climate change.
