Curriculum for the 21st century

Internationalization Task Force

Northern Michigan University has long encouraged and supported opportunities for students and faculty to study abroad. While we take pride in all that has been accomplished, the realities of a new century that brings a re-balancing of the world's economies, with attendant opportunities for cooperation as well as conflict, compels us to look for even deeper connections between the NMU community and the rest of the world.

To that end, the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs will appoint an Internationalization Task Force.

Value Added (Superior Edge) Task Force

Northern Michigan University has long provided students with a learning environment which includes both high quality academic programs and student support activities which encourage personal development in addition to academic growth. These value added activities currently enrich the learning experience for many NMU students. To broaden and generalize that experience in order to impact the lives of many more individuals, it will be necessary to expand upon and better promote the array of value added activities that we already have in place.

To that end, the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs will appoint a Value Added Task Force.
