Former Northern Michigan University criminal justice major, Ryan Grimm was recently awarded the Jackson Officer of the Year Award. He was honored by the police department in downstate Michigan and was presented with the award at an annual banquet to recognize his work as a police officer. Grimm was described by his chief officer as a hard-working officer who showed dedication to the department and the community. He began work with the Jackson Police Department in February 2002.
Grimm is a 2001 graduate of the NMU Regional Police Academy and earned his Bachelor in Criminal Justice degree in 2000. He was also a 1996 graduate of Manistique High School.
Ryan Grimm lives with his wife, Dawn, and their three children, Cooper, Chloe and Carson.
