Criminal justice is the third most popular major at NMU. Our faculty and adjuncts come from diverse backgrounds with a wealth of knowledge having worked in the criminal justice, corrections and loss prevention fields. Our programs emphasize both theoretical studies and applied knowledge in the field providing students with diverse perspectives leading to careers in law enforcement, corrections, loss prevention, and the court systems. We offer on-campus and online courses as well.

Undergraduate degree programs: Our department offers a wide range of undergraduate degree programs including two associates, and two bachelors (including an "online" degree bachelors in loss prevention management.)
There are literally hundreds of jobs to choose from in the field of criminal justice.
