Christopher MacMaster is an adjunct faculty instructor for the Criminal Justice Department. He is employed as a trooper with the Michigan State Police (MSP). He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Lake Superior State University in 1994 and received his Master’s Degree in Public Administration (State and local government) from NMU in 2003. He enlisted in the Michigan State Police in 1994 and has held several positions including temporary staff instructor at the MSP Training Academy, instructor for the MSP Communications Division, a resident trooper, an at-scene crash investigator and as a polygraph examiner with the MSP Forensic Science Division from 2005 until 2007. He is currently assigned as a trooper to the MSP Negaunee Post in Marquette County.
MacMaster has taught in several areas of law enforcement including domestic violence investigations, interview and interrogations techniques, defensive operations awareness terrorism training, traffic crash investigations, riot control, water safety, OWI investigations, and report writing. He is currently a licensed public polygraph examiner in the State of MichiganState Trooper Chris MacMaster adds a great element to the CJ department.
