Cognitive Reactions

  • Difficulty with concentration
  • Difficulty solving problems
  • Amnesia for the event
  • Inability to attach importance to anything other than incident
  • Memory disturbance
  • Difficulty making decisions
  • Isolating yourself

Emotional Reactions

  • Fear
  • Guilt
  • Emotional numbing
  • Over sensitivity
  • Anger
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Feelings of Helplessness
  • Violent (revenge fantasies)
