Mobile Clinic, South AfricaFaculty-led study abroad courses are credit-bearing Northern Michigan University courses that are taught in part in a different country. They are usually two to four weeks in duration, occur over spring break or summer and are an increasingly popular way for students to experience another country and another culture.

NMU faculty have taught courses in many countries, including Austria, China, Costa Rica, Peru, Zambia, Honduras, Mexico and South Africa. Future sites include Argentina, Peru, Italy and India.
