The Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) regulation 29 CFR 1910.120 is administered and enforced by OSHA/MIOSHA. The regulation applies to all General Site Workers (equipment operators, general laborers, and supervisory personnel) and Occasional Site Workers (sampling surveying, other transitory tasks) engaged in any activity which potentially exposes workers to hazardous substances and health hazards.

The HAZWOPER 8-hour Annual Refresher course is required annually after completion of the 40-hour Initial course. $175 per student. All classes start at 8:00 am EST.

The HAZWOPER 40-hour Full Initial course is for General Site Workers on known or potentially contaminated sites. It also meets classroom / instructional requirements for Supervisors. $800 per student.

Customer site training available: We'll provide on-site training by arrangement with six or more attending.

MSHA Certified Annual Refresher (8 hours - one day)

This program covers all aspects of the annual training requirements for owners, operators, and contractors under 30 CFR Part 48 & 30 CFR Part 46. This refresher course covers major changes which may adversely affect safety and health as well as other topics specified in the mine safety training plan. We will customize the session to meet your specific needs and hold the course on campus or at your site. Those successfully completing the course will return to the job with the skills necessary to perform their work in accordance with the MSHA regulations.  

MSHA Certified New Miner (24 hours - 3 days)

This three-day program covers all aspects of training for miners working at surface mines and surface areas of underground mines. This new miner session covers all topic requirements for owners, operators, and contractors under 30 CFR Part 48 & 30 CFR Part 46. The course covers topics such as HazCom, an introduction to workplace environment, mine hazards, miner's rights, PPE, intro to confined space and fall protection. Those successfully completing this course will have the skills necessary to perform their work in accordance with the MSHA regulations.

MSHA Part 46 Only (1 day)

Continuing Education and Workforce Development has been approached to provide classes for Part 46 only, in response to this need Part 46 is now available to anyone interested. However, the course is not scheduled ongoing rather, we will schedule this class specifically for any company or individuals interested in this training.

Note: Additional classes can be customized to meet the needs of a company.
