MARQUETTE, Mich.--Nancy Redfern, music professor at Northern Michigan University, will present a piano recital at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, in Reynolds Recital Hall. The program opens the music department’s winter semester performance schedule. It is free and open to the public.

Titled “Waiting for Summer,” the recital will feature several piano works inspired by summer themes and will conclude with Beethoven’s Sonata in D minor, Op.31. No. 2.
