MARQUETTE, Mich. -- A female Northern Michigan University student drowned shortly before 6 p.m. ET Friday evening (Nov. 30) in the Physical Education Instructional Facility (PEIF, pronounced PEEF) Pool of the NMU Sports Complex. The cause of the drowning is under investigation. No further details are available at this time, pending notification of family members.
