MARQUETTE, Mich.—The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will present “Agates, Rocks and Minerals” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, at the Ishpeming Rock Club’s location at the Cliffs Shaft Mine Museum on Lakeshore Drive.
            Joyce and Allen Smith, members of the Ishpeming Rock Club, will discuss the rich minerals and rocks of the Upper Peninsula. Participants will be able to observe various rocks, agates and minerals and handle them to feel their unique characteristics.
