In addition to graduate school information, this page also offers tips to help during this busy transition time.
Parking permit refunds
Students graduating in December and leaving the university will be reimbursed half of the amount paid for the fall semester motor vehicle registration. All eligible departing persons should check with the Public Safety within 30 days from the last day of class for a refund. All other registration fees are non-refundable and this policy does not apply to May graduates as parking fees for January through August are discounted.
NMU Alumni Association
All NMU graduates receive a complimentary one-year membership, from the date of graduation, into the NMU Alumni Association as well as an alumni ‘e-mail for life’ full-service e-mail account. In order to take advantage of these services, as well as the many other discounts and offers from the Alumni Association, recent graduates must fill out the online membership application.
Career Services Recent Grad Assistance
NMU Career Services offers many services to alumni, including an online resume system, on-campus interviews, resume critiques, job fairs and Web resources. Most of the services and programs provided through Career Services are available at no cost.
