Drivers must possess a valid driver’s license and be affiliated with the university.
Also, students must obtain permission from Public Safety before being able to drive a university vehicle. A student’s departmental employer or student organization adviser should first send a memo to Public Safety with the student’s name, driver’s license number and social security number. Public Safety will issue a temporary driving permit. The student can pick up the permit at the Public Safety Office between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Safety and Conduct
Drivers are responsible for obeying all laws of any state in which they are operating the university vehicle. Any citations issued are the sole responsibility of the driver.
