In the 2010-2011 academic year, economic student, Derek Bush, and Dr. Tawni Ferrarini, worked with the Upper Peninsula Economic Development Alliance to develop county profiles for all of the counties in the Upper Peninsula. This year, Hannah Kratz, a student in the Masters in Public Administration program, will be continuing to update the county profiles. Click here to view the 2011 County Profiles.On October 14, 2009, Northern Michigan University hosted a CEO Roundtable which covered the opportunities for growth and development in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the 2007-2015 economy.

In 2006, Northern Michigan University charged the Center for Economic Education and Entrepreneurship to be the repository for recent economic research related to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
