Orientation Students

Here's a brief overview of what we offer in the Career Services Office.  Feel free to browse around, and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us.

  • Looking for a job while attending NMU?
    • Prior to you attending Orientation, watch our Twitter page. We post a link to all job postings within the Upper Peninsula - search the hashtags #NMUjobs and #UPjobs
      • We're not just on Twitter, we're all over on social media: Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and a LinkedIn group too.
    • After you attend Orientation and are signed up for classes, log in to Cat Career Tracks to view all postings. (You will not have access to this system until the day after you sign up for classes during Orientation.) To sign in:
      • Username: NMU username (first half of email address)
      • Password: Birthdate (MM/DD/YYYY; you must include the slashes)
      • Instructions for changing your password are available on the Cat Career Tracks login page.
      • To save some time when searching for jobs, you can save your search or set up to receive automated emails when a job fits your search.
    • Looking for on-campus employment applications?
      • Job postings for on-campus jobs will indicate what documents are needed for application. Applications can be found in the Cat Career Tracks Resource Library and on our website:
      • Are you looking to work in a specific department, but don't see a job posted?  Click here for a list of department contacts.
      • Most on-campus job applications can be personally dropped off, emailed, or mailed to the appropriate department.
