Descriptions of the Most Popular Presentations:

Building a Resume or CV

Students learn about how to put together a professional resume - specifically for their field and career level.  From part-time jobs and internships, to full-time positions after graduation, we can help them figure out what to talk about, and how to get their skills and abilities across to employers.  If your field typically uses a CV instead of a resume, we can also talk about the differences between the documents, and when you might use one versus the other.

Preparing for Interviews

Confidence and preparation are the keys to acing an interview, and we can help your students learn how to increase their skills with both. We'll go over how to prepare, and practice common interview questions, as well as some tips on how to beat the pre-interview jitters and stand out from other applicants.

Using Social Media in the Job Search

Social media, for better or worse, is here to stay.  We can help students learn what employers are looking for on social media, and how they can clean up their online presence before applying for positions. We'll talk about how employers are using social media to find employees, and how students can make the most of these tools that they're already using.

Connecting Majors to Careers

This presentation can be specific to students in your major or department.  We'll talk about some career exploration tools, and ways to find out more about what types of careers are available and interesting to them. We can also cover general job search tools, as well as resources to find potential jobs in their fields.
