Marquette Mountain NMU Day Precedes Investiture

The investiture celebration will kick off Sunday, Feb. 8, with NMU Day at Marquette Mountain from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Take advantage of discounted day passes. Enjoy a cookout on the hill hosted by the NMU (Snow) Board and Ski Club. Raise your cup for a hot chocolate toast to President Fritz Erickson in the chalet, then watch or join him as he skis down Snowfield in academic regalia. Photos and video from this event will be shown at the investiture ceremony on Monday, Feb. 9. 

Day passes will be reduced to $28 for students/employees with NMU ID and for alumni. It is also Carload Day, which may offer a better deal for groups arriving together. Here is the detailed schedule:

Noon-2 p.m.  NMU (Snow) Board and Ski Club hosting free cookout, while supplies last, at Casualties Fireside off Ridge Run.

2-6 p.m.         Musical entertainment by Jim and Ray in the T-Bar.

3 p.m.            Hot chocolate toast to President Erickson led by NMU alumni board member Stacy Welling Haughey ’00, ’02 in T-Bar.

3:30 p.m.       Follow Fritz down Snowfield. Ski or ride with the president. Anyone interested can participate.
