Achievements
NMU's Superior Edge and Student Leader Fellowship Programs received NASPA Excellence Awards for transforming higher education through outstanding programs, innovative services and effective administration.
The Superior Edge program received a Silver Award in the category titled "Careers, academic support, service learning, community service and related." It was cited as a comprehensive program that creates a holistic learning experience for students by integrating four components (edges) as part of their academic enrichment: citizenship, diversity, leadership and real world.
Northern's SLFP received a bronze award in the category titled "Student union, student activities, Greek life, leadership and related. The recipients will be honored in March at the 2013 NASPA Annual Conference in Orlando.For more information, visit NASPA Awards.
