Achievements
The Administrative-Professional group, UAW Local 1278, delivered 730 pounds of food and a check to the TV6 Can-a-thon. The non-perishable items were collected during an employee food drive. About 100 reusable bags were distributed, filled with food and then emptied to be transported to TV6. Leigh Barry (WNMU) made the on-air presentation on behalf of the union. President Bob Thomson (WNMU-TV) said the bags will be put to productive use again next year.
The Technical and Office Professionals (TOPS) union, UAW Local 1950, is also spreading holiday cheer. President Michelle Kimball (Technology and Occupational Sciences) said members contributed unwrapped toys for the Toys for Tots program. The donation period ended today.
