Jason Bishop (Health and Human Performance), co-authored a manuscript with a colleague from the University of Virginia titled "Remote Video Supervision in Adapted Physical Education." It was recently published in the Journal of Physical Education, Recreation & Dance. The article focuses on the use of technology to facilitate remote supervision. The image at left is from the article and shows Bishop using the monitoring system.

Russell Thorburn (English) had three narrative poems published in a recent issue of Prairie Schooner. "Wife" is a three- page poem on riding the subway from Hollywood to downtown Los Angeles and meditating on love. "Letter to a Son" is a letter written by a father who's an illustrator in California to his son in Iraq. And "Gravitational Field" is a poem on John Lennon seeing UFOs in New York City with May Pang and then imagining him at age 70.

"I have been writing about Lennon's Los Angeles and Malibu time away from Yoko and living with May Pang, a young photographer who documented their affair," wrote Thorburn in an email. "That includes his success with Walls and Bridges recorded in New York City and his sighting of UFOs one night standing naked on a balcony with May Pang.  Then, of course, I imagine he has children with May Pang, who wanted The Beatles to reunite, instead of his
reconciliation with Yoko at Elton John's concert at Madison Square Garden."
