Madelyn Ek, Michigan Energy Assistance Program and Superior Watershed Partnership self-sufficiency educator, on the ecological and environmental effects of tobacco litter in and around Lake Superior.
Kevin Piggott, family medicine and preventive medicine physician and healthcare administrator, on the impacts of cigarettes on the human body.
The Superior Watershed Partnership also invites you to participate in the UP4Health Challenge Volunteer Beach Cleanup, beginning at 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 12, at McCarty’s Cove Lighthouse. Help to clean Marquette’s most popular beach in time for the heart of the tourist season. All ages welcome. Please dress appropriately for the weather.
