University Choir/Madrigal Singers Concert

3:00 p.m., Reynolds Recital Hall

Free and open to the public

A program of  traditional and contemporary choral music presented by the music department's three choral ensembles.  Under the direction of Dr. Floyd Slotterback, the University Choir's repertoire will include music by Handel, folksong arrangements by Alice Parker, and Houston Bright's rousing spiritual I Hear a Voice A'prayin. Selections by The Madrigal Singer will include Giuseppe Verdi's moving Pater Noster (The Lord's Prayer).  The Lake Effect Show Choir, under the direction of Sharon Green, will provide some contrast with a program of choreographed contemporary music.   These ensembles are open by audition to all NMU students.  There is no admission charge.
