Slam Poetry with Amelia Garcia

Amelia M. Garcia is a spoken word poet from Rockford, Illinois. She does not keep secrets. She shares what she knows on stages anywhere she can find them. When not working as a barista, Garcia uses writing and performing as a form of personal exploration and healing.

She has competed in poetry slams in Rockford, Chicago (including the Lethal Poetry Slam at the West Side School for the Desperate and the Uptown Poetry Slam at the Green Mill), and Galesburg (The Rootabaga Poetry Slam).
