As part of the inagural Diversity Common Reader Program, join us for a converstaion with David "Sonny" Lacks and dr. Ruth Faden.
David "Sonny"Lacks is the son of Henrietta Lacks. Sonny gives audiences a sincere first-person perspective on the collision between ethics, race and the commercialization of human tissue, and how the experience changed the Lacks family forever.
Dr. Ruth Faden, Director, John Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics; Philip Franklin Wagley Professor in Biomedical Ethics. She is the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Awards from the American Society of Bioethics and Humanitities and Public Responsability in Medicine and Research.
