Learn How to Network with NMU Alumni

Wildcats for Life, NMU Career Services and the NMU Alumni Association bring you Speed Networking, an event part of the WildCATS: Connecting Alumni To Students Initiative.

At the event, students first learn tips on networking and then apply these skills with NMU alumni from diverse professional backgrounds. Students talk with alumni in "speed" rounds then rotate to the next alumnus/a. During each round, students practice introducing themselves while learning about the other's profession. Time is provided in the end to discuss the experience, share advice on networking and for more conversation. Speed Networking simulates the short window of opportunity many find themselves in when realizing the chance for a career connection, such as in an elevator or at a conference.
