Adjunct Faculty Positions

The NMU College of Business is preparing for an unprecedented growth phase. As a result, the college has a need for part time and adjunct faculty to complement our full time faculty positions. The college needs part-time instructors in many business subjects:

Accounting
Business Law
Finance
Information Systems

Marketing
Medical Coding and Office Information Systems
Operations Management

We also have a need for qualified individuals to teach part time for our MBA classes. The college wishes to construct a pool of qualified part time instructors that can teach courses in the coming years.

Opportunities to teach exist for the fall semester beginning on August 25, 2014 and also for classes in the winter semester that begin on January 12, 2015.  Instructional duties last until final grades are posted, noon on the Tuesday following final exam week.  Duties include full responsibility for teaching each course:  creating and distributing course syllabi to the students; meeting and instructing during each class meeting; grading homework; composing, proctoring and grading exams; and determining and posting final grades.

Qualifications:  Minimum academic qualifications for these positions include a master's degree, MBA preferred, and significant work experience in the field.  Previous teaching experience is highly desirable.
