AACSB accreditation extendedAACSB logo

The College of Business at Northern Michigan University is pleased to announce that they have extended their accreditation in business through the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The AACSB was founded in 1916 and accreditation through the association is a mark of the highest standards in business education. Only 799, or less than 5 percent of business schools worldwide, have achieved AACSB accreditation. NMU’s College of Business was initially accredited in 2002.

Re-accreditation is the result of years of work from the faculty and staff in the College of Business to ensure that academic programs and the college’s strategic plan meet accreditation standards. These standards require an institution to show excellence in many different areas relating to strategic management and innovation; students, faculty, and staff as active participants in the education process; learning and teaching; and professional engagement.

The College of Business would like to thank all the faculty, staff, and students involved in the re-accreditation process for their hard work and commitment to creating an excellent educational environment at Northern Michigan University.
