Do you already have a great business idea and just don't know where to start? Perhaps you have what we call an entrepreneurial mindset. If so, Northern Michigan University's entrepreneurship program is designed for you.
Where An Entrepreneurship Degree Can Take You
Our program is geared for you to learn a skill set that will increase your likelihood of success in an entrepreneurial setting or even a corporate setting in need of entrepreneurial thinking. The career potential for entrepreneurship majors is almost infinite as the comprehensive business foundation prepares students for careers in all different types of business environments.

Entrepreneurship Graduate
Program Major
The entrepreneurship major is designed for students who want to develop their own businesses. It provides a comprehensive knowledge of accounting, finance, management, marketing and computer information systems as these areas relate to entrepreneurial business.
Program Minor
Do you have a passion for art, music, sports? Do you have a passion for designing things or building things? Do you already know what you want to do but don't know how to make a living doing it? Our entrepreneurship minor will allow you to take your passion and apply an entrepreneurial skill set to it in order to increase your likelihood of success in starting your own business.
Students in the arts with dreams of opening their own galleries; students in construction management with hopes of starting their own company; and students studying athletic training with the goal of opening their own consulting company have all found the minor in entrepreneurship helpful in preparing them for working for other people, as well as starting their own businesses.
