Business Profession Program Kick Off Event
Ramsey Jay Jr. Inspires Students to Put Their Thoughts into Action
Ramsey Jay, Jr. praised the new College of Business’s Business Profession Program during his evening presentation for the Kick-Off event on September 25th. Ramsey, a California native and executive at Ares Management, helped kick-off the College of Business’ newest program, the Business Profession Program. Ramsey’s inspirational speech challenged College of Business students to never give up on their dreams and to continue to work hard, and insisted that this Business Profession Program would be a great tool to help them be more competitive entering the workforce.
The Business Profession Program, also known as The Passport Program, is designed to provide students with the skills and experiences necessary to be more competitive upon entering the job market. The Program helps students develop effective job search strategies as well as understand how to evaluate a job offer; it is also a great way to help students build professional networks. The Passport Program is a mix of required and optional experiences. Upon enrolling, students are issued a passport booklet. As students attend both the required and optional events, their booklet is stamped. The goal is to differentiate NMU College of Business students in the labor market as they transition from college to career.
