Personal Essay
Please limit your personal statement to approximately two double-spaced typed pages.  The essay should include the following:       

  • Your overall personal goals for the intern/co-op program.
  • Two major issues that are affecting the field in which you wish to work.
  • Your personal perspective on these two major issues.

Your essay will be assessed based upon the following:
Your essay will be reviewed to determine your acceptance into the Intern/Co-op Program and will be evaluated on content, style, and general mastery of the English language (i.e., grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary). 

  • You may wish to do some additional research in order to give informed opinions. 
  • Please do not write about one particular organization.

Internship/Co-op Agreement
I understand the application form and supporting documents for the Intern/Co-op Program provided become the property of the Walker L. Cisler College of Business and could be shown to potential supervisors of the Co-op Program. Additionally, I will not request that the materials be returned or transferred to other institutions or prospective employers.
