Course Description


SL 359 Introduction to Neurogenics
4 cr.
Offered: Winter
Prerequisite: SL 150, SL 160, SL 200 and SL 355, junior standing or instructor permission.

Study of neurological disorders across the lifespan that affect cognition and communication. Emphasis is placed on the basic principles of brain-behavior relationships. Current theories and controversies in aphasia, motor speech disorders, dyslexia, dysgraphia, right-hemisphere disorder, traumatic brain injury, Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders.
