Minutes of the Meeting of the Executive Committee

A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of Northern Michigan University was held on Thursday, July 17, 2008.  It was convened by Chair Samuel S. Benedict at 12:00 p.m. 

Participating were: 

Mr. Samuel S. Benedict, Chair             Dr. Douglas B. Roberts                                   

Mr. Alan Ackerman                             Dr. Leslie E. Wong, President
Mr. Brian D. Cloyd                              Ms. Mary C. Lukens (ex officio)        

Administrative Staff Members present were:

Ms. Ann Sherman, Director of Human Resources

Presidential Competencies

Ms. Ann Sherman, Director of Human Resources, reviewed an Integrated Leadership Model developed by the Human Resources Department to assist with moving the Road Map goals through the organization.  It will also help to identify potential leaders, individual contributors as well as those people who need the development help.

Dr. Wong was requested to develop and submit to the Executive Committee his recommendations for his personal goals for 2008-09 so they may be finalized by the September Board of Trustees meeting.

Mr. Benedict adjourned the meeting at 1:05 p.m.
