Chemistry

Our host faculty member from the NMU Chemistry Department will be joined by a student or two currently enrolled in the program to discuss the challenging field of chemistry.

During the 40 – 50 minute videoconference, we will highlight academic preparation, academic programs, NMU facilities & labs, salary expectations, job demand, graduate programs, projected employment, internship/volunteer opportunities, and the challenges and rewards of selected careers. We encourage a high degree of interaction through comment and questions from students. Upon request, an Admissions or Financial Aid counselor will attend.

Scheduling can be flexible, meeting a particular date and time for a school, or fixed, with an open invitation out to schools to attend on a particular date and time. One to three classrooms may attend any single presentation.
