Northern Michigan University ASL Action Grants
In 2012-13, Northern Michigan University will be awarding a total of $5,000 in grants for faculty to create and implement academic service learning projects or conduct research related to academic service learning. The grant money will be divided between fall, winter and summer semesters. Northern Michigan University faculty can apply for grants up to $500 to cover logistical expenses, such as supplies and travel. Click here to download the ASL Action Grant Application.

Venture Grants
Michigan Campus Compact (MCC) awards Venture Grants of $1,000-$3,500 to individuals or groups from member institutions to encourage the development or expansion of community service programs, service-learning opportunities, and/or civic engagement activities. Northern Michigan University faculty have received Venture Grants through MCC in previous years.

Michigan Campus Compact
As a member of Michigan Campus Compact (MCC), Northern Michigan University faculty members and students have access to its wide variety of resources. MCC offers grants that faculty can use for academic service learning, links to conferences and other campus compact sites, as well as academic service learning awards.
