Records contain the master agreements for the CWA locals in Munising (1995) and Marquette (1996). The Munising local agreement is with the Hiawatha Telephone Company, and the Marquette agreement is with Ameritech Communications, Inc. The collection also contains the general master agreement negotiated between the national Communications Workers of America and AT&T.

Geraldine Defant was a longtime Marquette County labor leader and politician. The collection consists of a taped oral interview of Geraldine Defant conducted by Jennifer Grondin on March 26, 1990, and includes a transcription. The collection also includes copies of a scrapbook, and photographs. The collection documents the 1949 H.W. Gossard Company Garment Workers Strike in Ishpeming.
