Host a High School student shadow
ATTENTION ALL NMU STUDENTS!!!

The GEAR UP program of Northern Michigan University is looking for volunteers to help the 10th and 11th grade students of Gwinn High School and North Star Academy experience college life from a student's perspective.

NMU students will share stories of your college life experience with a high school student while taking them to and from a college course on your schedule.

The dates we need volunteers are November 10-13.

Requirements:
1. Attend classes on campus at NMU.
2. Have a signed agreement form on file in our office from the professor allowing the student to attend their class for one day.
3. Must be in good academic standing.
4. We must obtain a copy of your schedule.
5. You must agree to and sign a chaperone form.
6. Pick up and return the student(s) at the agreed location on campus.

If you're interested in helping high school students gain a college experience, please pick up an application in the Multicultural Education & Resource Center at 3001 Hedgcock.
