Looking out at McCarty's Cove, snow and grey clouds move out onto Lake Superior as the most recent weather system clears the region. Many areas were hit with up to 8" of snow over the last 24 hours. The long range forecast shows a break in temperatures coming next week, with highs into the mid 30's.
Lake Superior is nearly froze over, with last estimates at 90 percent. This anomaly has not happened since 1994 when the lake completely frozen over mid February.

Thanks to all of you who have visited the Alumni Office while on campus. Whenever you’re in town, please drop by 607 Cohodas Hall to say hello. (You don’t have to be visiting. For those of you who live in Marquette, we want to see you too! Please stop in.) If you can’t get to campus because you’re off exploring the world, be sure to send us a photo of you wearing your favorite Wildcat gear so we can share it with other alumni.
